80, Stillwater Lake, Halifax Co. died quietly at home Sunday December 31, 2017. Born in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co. she was the daughter the late Sedley and Nellie (McInnis) Cook. Isabelle graduated from Bridgewater High School and Mount St. Vincent University. She worked in Halifax as a legal secretary until 1968 when she left the workforce to raise a family. Isabelle was a gifted singer and pianist but was most widely known for her kindness, patience and generosity. Isabelle had a smile and a kind word for everyone but her life revolved around her grandchildren. Grammie was an entirely devoted and doting grandmother. She was adored and beloved by her family. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Allison (Kevin) Maher, grandsons Sean, Ronnie and Kevin Jr. and granddaughter Madeline, all of Stillwater Lake as well as her extended family and friends in Lunenburg Co. and St. Catharines, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Elmer and son James. A graveside service will be held at a date to be determined.
