EDNA FARNELL ROSS
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. Born in London, Ontario to Hilman & Marie (Dolyniuk) Farnell, Edna was the eldest of four girls who loved nature, music, writing, drawing and painting. Singing on the radio since a small child and with the Farnell sisters, she was valedictorian of her graduation class, represented Halifax in the Miss Canada Pageant and became a professional entertainer known across Canada for her singing, charm and outgoing personality. Featured on several TV shows including Don Messer, her works on stage, radio, film & in recordings were part of her numerous life accomplishments. Her work with special needs children in her latest position, was a great joy to herself & the kids she assisted. A member of ACTRA, the AFM & the NSGEU, Edna will be remembered for her determination, loyalty, humour and strength from her faith in God. She is survived by her children Tina, Dan & Don Ross, their spouses, her grandson Jordan, her sisters Nancy Mooney & Patricia Chambers plus many nieces & nephews. Visitation is on Friday June 15th 4:00 to 8:00 pm and the Memorial Service will be Saturday June 16th at 2:00 pm, reception to follow, all held at Ronald A.
