81, of Queensland, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, VG Site, Halifax. Born in Buchans, Newfoundland he was the son of the late Walter C. and Ivy (Pardy) Mills. Albert, also known as “Big Al,” enjoyed golfing and curling. He was a fixture in Queensland always making sure things were going well during the annual Queensland Open and making sure everyone was fed. He always ran the draw at Walter’s Annual Horseshoe Tournament, and lastly, he always kept things lively at the summers end Potluck Party at his house. Survived by his daughter, Brenda (Mike), Halifax; grandsons, Damon and Keiron; sister, Ruby; brother, Robert. Predeceased by his wife, Mildred; sisters, Betty, Joan and Judy; brothers, Cecil, Stuart and Frank. In keeping with Alberts wishes there will be no services. The family would like to make a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the QEII Health Sciences Center, VG Site for the amazing care of Albert during his final days.
