Alice Jeanette Butler
84, of Halifax passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Roseway she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Gertrude (MacKay) Atwood. She will be forever missed by her sons, Gordon (Debbie), Halifax; Allan (Sherri) Sackville; Arthur Martin, Halifax; daughter, Deborah (Earl) Boutilier, Boutiliers Point; daughter-in-law, Miriam, Halifax; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, “Ernest” Bucky; sisters Gladys, Shirley and infant sister. Mom was employed with Mills Brothers for 25 years. She was a member of the Lionettes Club, Spryfield for several years. Special thanks to Dr Matheson, Megan Palliative care VON and home care services they gave mom her wish to stay at home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Charity of choice. Funeral service will be held 1p.m Saturday, November 2, 2019 in the Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Road Spryfield.
