Obituary for Anita Mary Elizabeth Keefe
Anita Mary Elizabeth (Sampson) Keefe
of Timberlea, Daughter of the late Fred and Cecilia Sampson passed away peacefully in Halifax on Friday January, 29, 2021 at the age of 77.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Frank), and sons, Peewee, David (Angela), and Joey (Carol). She cherished and took great pride in her grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, Travis, Nolan, Fallon, and Jenna and great-grandchildren, Skylar, and Jaxon covering her home with their photos and mementos. She was sadly predeceased by her son, Larry, whom she missed dearly. She was also survived by siblings Loretta, Larry, and Linda as well as many nieces and nephews. A special mention to her closest friends, Rose, Ann, and June who always had a special place in her heart.
Anita will be remembered most by valuing and sharing what little she had. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew with her kindness and generosity. During her younger years she worked for the fair where she got to see different places and later worked at the Lakeside fire department setting up for bingo and other events that went on. She enjoyed karaoke, bingo, yard sales and flea markets, and babysitting her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and staff at the QEII and St. Vincent’s Nursing Home who took great care of her. Also extending special gratitude to her long-time physician, Dr. Scovil, and staff at the Tantallon Superstore for their generosity.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date
