BETTY CATHERINE FILLMORE
Hubbards, Nova Scotia
October 16, 1931 - January 1, 2023
It is with heavy hearts, we announce our beautiful mother has passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2023 at the age of 91.
Born in Hubbards, she was the daughter of the late Warden and Mabel Hubley.
Betty will be lovingly remembered ,and dearly missed by her children: Carol (Halifax), Ina (Hubbards), John (Hubley), Murray [Susan] (East Dalhousie), Betty Jean (Beaumont, Alberta), Terry [Claudette] (Stoney Plain, Alberta), Heather [Steve] (Wolfville), Linda [Greg] (Bedford), daughter in law Margo, as well as16 Grandchildren, 7 great Grandchildren and 5 step Grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Doug, son Perry, sister Jean, step son Doug Jr., grandson Mark, daughter-in-law, Diane, and son in law Peter.
Our mother was blessed to have her daughter Ina, as her caregiver, the past two years. The tenderness, care, and love she showed our mother at the end of life, is something we will never forget. Your wisdom and comfort helped us navigate through this challenging time. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all mom’s end of life palliative care team, Paramedics, Pharmacists (Carol Anne, Katie, and Kathy), Dr. Shawna Herman, VONs, for all their excellent care and support.
Mom, you will be forever in our hearts.
