Obituary for Carolyn Ann Briggs

Carolyn Ann Briggs
March 18, 1964 – June 27, 2021
It is with our greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Carolyn Ann Briggs on Sunday June 27th, 2021 at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Loyall and Phyllis (Hemming) Miller.

Carolyn worked at TC Transcontinental for 18 years as the Plant Manager/Controller for the Halifax Plant. She excelled at her job and was well respected by her co-workers. She was a mentor and inspiration to everyone. Carolyn’s love was unconditional and she had compassion for all. She loved spending time with her family and friends, when she wasn’t with her family you could find her in her flower gardens, she had a real green thumb, or she was busy painting pictures; she had a love for art. She was loved by everyone who met her, her smile could light up a room and her sometimes crazy, quirky, personality made her the soul of the party.

She is survived by her husband Paul Cox, her daughter Ashley (John Mullally) Briggs and Emma (Alex Banks) Briggs; stepdaughter Amy Cox and stepson Daniel Cox; brother David (Jeanette) Miller and sister Sandie Miller; sister-in-law Ruth (Richard) Preece; nephews Darcy and Grant Miller. Pre-deceased by her late husband Robert Briggs.

A family service will be held at Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon on Monday July 12. Due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be by invitation only. The service will be streamed on Facebook live. A private committal service will follow in the family cemetery, Tantallon. A celebrations of life will be held at a later date for family and friends.
