Jean and family. J
udi and I would like to extend our sincere condolences on Don's passing. Altho we have not kept in touch since retirements we often think about the good times we shared in PEI many years ago. Those good times existed not only in the work environment but also with the Croucher, Harris, VanDusen and Wamboldt families on social occasions.

We met Don and Jean through community and other social events and have always enjoyed these lovely get-togethers. Don always expressed interest in the community and was a great conversationalist and willingly shared his knowledge from his extensive experience in conservation and natural history. We would like to express our sincere condolences to Jean and his family. Special thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Judy and Brian MacDonald, Lake of the Woods.

We had had the privilege knowing Don and Jean thru our mutual friends in our subdivision Lake of the Woods. Don was so knowledgeable, kind and always had a smile. He always said hi to us whenever he and Jean were out and about in the community. He was a wonderful person to know and will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Our deepest condolences on your loss. God’s blessing oh you all. Ruth and Rob Clish (Lake of the Woods )

I had the privilege of working with Don for many years as his Admin Clerk for Resource Conservation. Our section at the time was a very dynamic and fun group and Don lead our group into working hard but having so much fun at the same time. We had lots enjoyable Friday lunches and after hours events and Don never missed any. He trudged up many floors of the office tower next door when we used to climb the many floors in that high rise during our morning coffee break. He was always game to go! Don had many laughs with all us office girls. He was kind, compassionate and caring! I was lucky to work with him till he retired. He had such a love for his wife and family and often shared nice stories of his children who he was so proud of. My heartfelt sympathy to you Jean, Megan and Peter and families. Parks Canada was one big family to many of us! We all grew up surrounded by the likes of coworkers like Don.
