Donna MacLEAN (DeCoste)
Age, 65, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 25, 2022. Donna was the daughter of the late Gerard and Lorraine DeCoste. She will be forever treasured by her daughters Nicole, Patty and son Malcolm. Donna was born in Antigonish and graduated from Antigonish High School where shortly thereafter attended higher education where she graduated with her PCW diploma. Donna had a very successful and fulfilling career in her field which lasted 30 years until her retirement. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Gerard and Lorraine DeCoste, and her loving husband Aubrey. Donna is survived by her daughters Nicole (Dave), Patty (Donald) and son Malcolm (Kaelyn). She was adored by her grandchildren, Dakota, Dylan, Damien, Kianna-Leigh, Lennon, Leevi, Luca and great-grandson Kane. Donna will be sadly missed by her sisters Zina (Gerald), Mona (Michael), brother Owen (Kim), her late husband's family and several nieces and nephews. She held dear having a wonderful neighbor Larry, who was a very good family friend. Donna was blessed to have been loved by so many people. Donna was known to be caring for others and always had an open-door policy to those in need. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the nursing and physician staff of 3IMCU at QEII, Palliative Care Unit at Victoria General, Closing the Gap Healthcare and VON. Funeral service will be held at Holy Apostles Parish – St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church, 18 Scholars Rd, Upper Tantallon on December 10, 2022 at 11 am. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or Diabetes Nova Scotia.
