76, of Stanley passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 in Ivany Place, Bedford. Born in Dartmouth he was the son of the late James Edward and Phyllis (Taylor) Tanswell. During Duanne’s years as a parish priest, he served as a rector in the parishes of Ship Harbour, Timberlea, Falmouth, St. Philips, Western Shore as well as Chaplain in the Army Reserve. Duanne also served on various committees for the Diocese, about which he was very committed and passionate. Survived by his wife Shirley (Campbell); sons, James (Marija), Timberlea; Ronald, Bedford; daughter, Wendy (Andrew) Boutilier, Timberlea; grandchildren, Kristin (Peter Gillis), Kevin, Sara, Jessica, Emma and Sophie. Predeceased by his first wife Mary (Terrio) and a sister, Heloise “Sandy”. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 2nd in the Cathedral Church of All Saints, 1330 Cathedral Lane, Halifax.
