Obituary for Earl Douglas Harnish

Earl Douglas Harnish
loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022, in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Trixie (Boutilier); daughter, Crystal Arsenault, Lakeside; son, Merle, Ontario; sister, Cathy Moulton, New Brunswick; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Earl loved to hunt and fish and was happiest filling the boat or bucket with mackerel until he was no longer able. He passed his love of the outdoors to his son and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cribbage, even though he got skunked more often than he won. During baseball season he was glued to the T.V. yelling at the Blue Jays. Earl was a jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn’t fix and was always counted on to get the job done. He was Hank Williams’ biggest fan, there was nothing better than relaxing to his music. A little piece of Dad lives in all of us and all those close to him. He is now fishing and hunting in greener pastures and bluer waters with those who have gone before him. Rest in peace Dad. Until we meet again. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
