96, of Mill Cove, we the family of Edison Harnish are heartbroken to announce the passing on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg. Born in Mill Cove he was the son of the late Percy and Hulda (Jennings) Harnish.
Edison was employed for 35 years with Local 269 Longshoreman Union. He was an avid gardener, and his home and family were his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Shirley (Boutilier); daughters, Elizabeth (Eric); Carolyn (Vernon); daughter-in-law, Thelma; grandchildren, Sherry (Kyle); Chris (Danielle); Michael (Barb); great grandchildren, A.J., Hannah & Haley; sisters, Linda and Elva; brother, Tyrill. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his son, Timmy; sisters, Doris, Joyce, Delsie, Margaret, Joan, Jean, Geraldine and Verona; brothers, Douglas, Mervin and Vincent.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 7th and Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, November 8th both in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Marks Anglican Church, Mill Cove
