Obituary for Erdine Chisholm

Erdine Anne Mary Chisholm

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, Erdine Anne Mary Chisholm on March 26, 2023. She was the strength in our family and community, and her passing is completely unexpected.

Born in Petrolia, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late William and Johanna (VanderWielen) Raaymakers.
Family was an incredibly important part of Erdine’s life and she shared that with anyone who would listen. Aunt Deannie had a heart as big as her voice and will forever be in the hearts and memories of cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her in-laws and close friends for many memories shared.

She worked at the Dominion Stores for many years and enjoyed time later in life travelling the open road with her husband and connecting with many friends along the way. She was an active member of the St. Andrew’s Community and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 49 years.

She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Angela; three grandchildren, Corey (Kayleigh), Alex and Summer; two great grandchildren, Coen and Ivy; she is also survived by her stepmother, Anna Maria; four sisters, Mickey (David), Elizabeth (Greg), Mary (Wayne) and Wilma; and two brothers, William (Jessie) & Joseph (Candace). In addition to her parents, Erdine was predeceased by her husband, Roderick Gerard and her son Richard ‘Boyd’.
Funeral mass will take place on Friday, March 31st, 2023 at 11:00am in St. Andrews Church, St. Andrews with Father Charlie Cameron presiding. Burial in the St. Andrews Cemetery will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrews Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
