Obituary for Eric Ray Boutilier

Eric Ray Boutilier

87, of Boutilier’s Point. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, brother and grandfather on May 24, 2022. Born July 19, 1934 he was the son of the late Wesley and Minnie (Langille) Boutilier.

Eric is survived by his wife of 63 years, Miriam (Masie); sister, Mona Dorey; daughter, Valerie, Tantallon; sons, Murray (Stephanie); Alden Jollymore (Belinda) and Ray Jollymore, all of Boutilier‘s Point; grandchildren, Eric, Cora-Lynn Jollymore (Shannon Cave); Colton Jollymore; Jordan Jollymore (Matthew Thibault); as well, one great-grandson, Elijah Thibault and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and father he was predeceased by brothers, Cyril, Murray and Warren; sisters, Ella, Vera, Evelyn, Marion, Prena, Katherine, Lillian, Iona, and Florence.

Eric was a proud Pipe Fitter at HMC Dockyard in Halifax, retiring in 1991 and continuing to enjoy family, the outdoors, gardening, raising animals and helping people in his community.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 31 in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Highway Peggey’s Cove Road, Upper Tantallon.
Donations may be made in Eric’s memory to the St. James Anglican Church, Boutilier’s Point.
