Guy Frederick Westhaver Jr.
88 of Fox Point, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 6, 2023. Born in Fox Point he was the son of the late Guy and Memlow (Baker) Westhaver.
Guy survived by his wife Carol; daughter, Marie (Dave) McNeil; stepsons, Paul (Anna) Huskins; stepdaughter, Wanda; granddaughters, Tiffany (Corey) Bremner-Spidle and Emily Bremner; step-grandchildren, Joey, Dakota, Tammy, Stephanie and Jessie; special niece, Cookie (Elmer) Jager. Guy was predeceased by his first wife Virginia.
Guy worked hard all his life in his shop as a mechanic .He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent many years as a member of the Hubbards and District Fire Department; 20 of those years as a Fire Chief. Between work and chores he most enjoyed time on his front porch visiting family, friends, neighbours and anyone who stopped by for a chat. We would like to thank Lunenburg Co. Palliative Care, VON and Home Support for all of their help in Guy’s final months. Special thanks to Dr. Camille Munro and Dr. Reza Mehrpooya for all your support.
Celebration of Guys life will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023 in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards.
Donations in memory of Guy can be made to the Hubbards and District Fire Department, Canadian Cancer Society or Charity of Choice.
