Hubert H. “ Sonny” Manuel
75, of Hubley, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Hubert and Eileen (Langille) Manuel.
Sonny worked many years with Department of Transportation running Heavy Equipment. Sonny enjoyed playing his music with his friends and family.
Survived by his wife Eileen (Brown); daughters, Judy (Brian) Isenor, Dutch Settlement; Lisa (Mike) MacKenzie, Ironville; son, Jody (Christina) Graves, Eastern Passage; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jarrett, Brandon, Bhreagh, Maren and Caeley; brothers, Bernard “Bunny” (Cathy); Aubrey (Connie); Jimmy (Judy), George, Charles “Chucky” (Sandra); Danny (Joy); Darrin (Sherry); sisters, Carol (Rick) Young; Gracie Cooke; Heather MacLean; Mary Garon; Edna (Bob) Myles; Ev (Gary) Drysdale, many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his, sister, Rose; brother-in-laws, Paul Oaks, Gordon Lang, Eugene Cooke, Wade MacLean; sister-in-law, Devetta.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7th in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggys Cove Road, Upper Tantallon.
The family would like to make a special thank you to the Doctors and the nursing staff at the QEII Emergency and the staff at the Caritas Residence for all their special care that Sonny received. Also, a special thank you to Heather, Carol, Chucky and Jonathon for their support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank his brothers, Aubrey, Jim and Danny for the many visits to the nursing home to see Sonny.
