Irene “Joyce” Young
92, of Birchy Head passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in Blomidon Court Nursing Home, Greenwich. Born in Birchy Head she was the daughter of the late Karl and Eunice (Atkinson) Harnish. Joyce was an avid card player and enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survived by her daughter, Karrell (Harry) Mosher; son, Darrell (Maureen); grandchildren, Quency, Chad, Ryan and Shannon; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by by her husband, Ralph; sister, Lyda “Sylva” Cornelieus; half brother, Stanley “Earle” Atkinson; daughter-in-law, Anne Marie (Ravlo). The family will receive visitors 4-6pm Monday, April 17 in the Ronald A, Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, April 18 in St. Marks Anglican Church, Mill Cove. Rev, Tauyna Dawson officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point. The family would like to make a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Blomindon Court Nursing Home for all their loving care.
