Irma Marie Fehr
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Irma Marie Fehr who passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, peacefully in her sleep at home, with her husband by her side. She was born on January 16, 1955 in Altona, Manitoba, to the late Diedrich & Susan Fehr.
Irma loved to travel and shortly after graduating high school, she moved to Alberta working various office jobs. After living in Australia for a year, she moved back and met Jerry. In the early 80’s, they made the move to Nova Scotia, where they resided for 39 years. Irma loved people, and she made many friends along the way. She enjoyed golfing (especially at Moon Palace in Mexico), running many half marathons and listening to music.
She leaves to mourn her husband Jerry Keel; stepdaughter, Tara; 3 brothers, Mervin (Leona), Andy (Diane), Dennis (Susan); 2 sisters, Martha (John) Fehr & Wilma (Dan) Klassen; many in-laws, nieces, nephews & great nieces & nephews, all from Manitoba.
Visitation will be held 4-7 pm Thursday, July 14 and funeral service will be held 11 am on Friday, July 15 both in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Upper Tantallon. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Boutiliers Point, 6991 St Margarets Bay Road.
