Obituary for Leonard Francis Stacey
Leonard Francis Stacey
June 1, 1933 – January 15, 2023
Leonard passed peacefully away in his sleep on Sunday January 15, 2023 at the QE 2 in Hailfax surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Myrtle Stacey(Collins) as well as brothers Lesley, Herb, Vincent and Gordon. Left to mourn are sons Paul (Lori), Craig(Sharon) and Jeff(Paula), sister Lillian Dingwell and brother Terrence Stacey. Special mention to Aunt Marg and Uncle Don as well as Germaine for being such special friends to Dad.
Missing “Poppy” are his Grandchildren, Lyndsey Pettipas (Mark); Jennifer Forbes (Mark); Kourtney Stacey (Julia); Rachael Stacey (Chris Welk); Ben Stacey (Kamea); Emily Foster; Morgan Stacey and Jeff Stacey Jr.;
Missing “Big Poppy” are Great Grandchildren, Ruby and Rory, Reece and Rowan, Ryder, David and Claire. Also left to mourn are family and friends too many to mention.
Leonard proudly served for thirty years in the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and attained the rank of Inspector. He was also very proud of his volunteer work for the Canadian Liver Foundation. That said, in leu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday, June 2 and Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, June 3rd both in W.J. Caul Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Rd St. John's, NL
