Linda Joyce Keeping

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her familv on June 23, 2022 at the Halifax Infirmary, QE I, at the age of 73. Linda was born on Oct. 8, 1948 in Halifax.

grew up in Glen Margaret and later lived with her family in Lewis Lake. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Cleveland) Rhuda. She was predecessed by her brothers Murray and Robert (in infancy).

She will be profoundly missed by her husband Martin of 53 years, daughter Kimberley (Jeff) and son Paul (Shannon). Grandchildren Maya, Robyn, Shaelyn, Ashley, Kaila, Kelsey and Maddie. She also leaves behind her loving sister Nancy (Fred) Hubley and many nieces and nephews who she thought so fondly of along with her sister-in-laws.

Linda, along with her husband owned and operated a local excavation company which they ran for 45 plus years. She also "volunteered" for the past 18 years at Maya's Favorite Fish & Chips. It was during these times many close friendships were created and grew. She was most proud of her family and the lives they have built, someone who was always considering others before herself and a lady who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, go for long drives with her soul mate Martin, play cards with her family and working on her crafts. She looked forward to the opening of what was referred to as fish shack season and the ending of fish shack season with her annual trips to New England and no one was a bigger kid at Christmas than Linda. She was also very blessed and grateful to have the love and support of her friends who she enjoyed spending time with whether it be going for walks, shopping or sharing a good meal.

There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, June 30 at 11 am in the Ronald A Walker Funeral Home 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd. Upper Tantallon. Reception to follow. Condolences can be made to www.rawalker.ca.

She will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her.
