Obituary for Marcelle Germaine Boudreau

MARCELLE GERMAINE BOUDREAU

Of Upper Tantallon, formerly of Lower Wedgeport, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, with her family at her side. Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Gérard and Lucienne (Favreau) Painchaud.

Survived by her daughter, Diane (Brian Whitehouse) Tremblay, of Seabright; and grandchildren, Christiane and Edward Whitehouse. Survived by her sisters Thérèse Latraverse, Hélène Gagné and Madeleine Morin, of Montréal. Predeceased by her first husband, Jean Paul Tremblay; second husband, Jean Boudreau; and her brothers André, François and sister Annette.

In her lifetime, Marcelle was a seamstress, restaurant owner, housewife, mother, lobster fisherman’s wife and helper. In her leisure time, Marcelle was a musician, playing the double base for the bluegrass band The Rubber Boot Band. Marcelle and Jean spent many happy years attending Bluegrass festivals across Nova Scotia.

In keeping with Marcelle’s wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
