Obituary for Margaret Elizabeth MacLean

Margaret Elizabeth MacLean

Passed away at the QEII Infirmary on December 25, 2020. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing Margaret Elizabeth MacLean, 91, of Head of St. Margarets Bay. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Born in French Village on December 22, 1929 to parents John and Annie (Fredericks) Boutilier. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Ruth) MacLean; Johnny Boutilier; Stanley (Marie) Boutilier and daughter-in-law, Donna MacLean; grandchildren, Jody (Jenny) MacLean; Christy (Ryan) Coakes; Nicole MacLean; Malcolm (Kaelyn) MacLean and Shane Boutilier; great grandchildren, Christopher, Rachael, Carrie Noah, Kyle, Dakota, Dillon, Damian, Kianna and Lennon; great great grandchildren, Vera, Jillian and Kane; many nieces and nephews, including Laurie who took her on monthly shopping trips and she loved to shop. Her other pastime that she loved was playing cards especially with friends Noreen, Joan and Judy. When asked if she wanted to play cards her answer was always “sure”. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm “Mack” and son, Aubrey Maclean; brothers, Lawrence, James, Harris, Allan, Ralph, Arnold and Harold; sisters Victoria, Nora, Jennie and Hattie. Cremation has taken place and at her request there will be not be a service. There will be a graveside committal service at a later date. She touched many lives and will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her family and friends. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Margaret’s memory may do so to the Diabetic Association.
