Obituary for Marjorie Joyce Brinton

Marjorie Joyce Brinton
Marjorie Brinton, of Northwood Centre Halifax, passed Tuesday April 7, 2020. She was born in Hampton, NS, one of 8 brothers and sisters. Her father, Ira Brinton, a veteran of the First World War, died when she was very young. Her mother Lucy moved the family to Middleton when Marge was about 10 years old. Marjorie lived much of her life in Middleton, where she was a long-time employee of Andrews Department Store. She later moved with her parents to Greenwood, Berwick and Truro, then spent her final years in Halifax. Marge was a lover of animals, and those who knew her will remember her budgie birds, which she allowed to fly freely around the house, and later her two cats. She also enjoyed the occasional cigarette and liked good dark chocolate, especially with mint! She was predeceased by her father, Ira Brinton; mother, Lucy (Ray) Brinton; stepfather Fred Millett; brothers Boyd, Don, Stan, Ray, Gerald, and Gordon. She is survived by one sister, Myrna, of Halifax, as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but online condolences can be sent to www.rawalker.ca
