Michael Glen Messervey

Age 61, passed away suddenly at home on July 26, 2018. Born in Timberlea, he was a son of the late Clifton and Edith (Marsham) Messervey. Michael, known to friends as "Big Mike" with a big heart especially for his family, will be remembered by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Darlene; and his children, Michael (Angie), Glen (predeceased), Karen (Jody) and by his many brothers and sisters, Arnold, Tony, Valerie, Debbie, Junior, Winnifred, Clarence, Eileen, Joanne, Kenny, Robert, David, Yvonne, and Elsie. Michael was predeceased by his brothers, Melvin and Bub. Michael also cherished his only granddaughters Samantha and Janelle very much. He had a passion for NASCAR racing and bluegrass music. Michael worked for the Department of National Defence for many years and ended his career at Sysco Wholesalers. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8th, in the Lakeside Legion, 231 Greenhead Rd., Lakeside. All are welcome to attend.
