Obituary

Robert Joseph “Bob” LeBlanc
Age 84 of Bayswater, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after a lengthy illness due to Parkinsons, asbestosis and other health complications from his time served in the Korean conflict. Born on August 11, 1934, he was the son of the late Joseph LeBlanc, Sydney and Gladys (Tutty) LeBlanc, Louisbourg. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Grace (Boutilier); his three sons, Brent (Connie), John (Joanne Hay) and Ronald (Veronica); five grandchildren, Shauna (Steve) Wekarchuk; Casey (Amanda), Carly (Keith Cull), Ryan (Traci), and Tyler; four great grandchildren, Kenzie and Mason Wekarchuk, Milly and Mack Cull. Bob is also survived by his loving sister, Margaret (LeBlanc) Hutt, Main-A-Dieu Road, Cape Breton and brother, Keith, Chester and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents-in-law, John and Inez Boutilier; sisters, Betty Shaw, Louisburg and Mary, Toronto.
After Bob retired from the Navy, he started R.J. LeBlanc Construction and later Bayswater Construction and ran them until his retirement. Bob was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and enjoyed many family times, at home, at the “camp” and at the “Wharf.” It was Bob’s wish that there be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place; a private family celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery, 3506 Hwy 329 RR#1 Hubbards, B0J1T0.
The family would like to thank Olivia from Heart-to-Heart In Home Care for the kindness and compassion shown to both Bob and Grace during these past months and for being such a good crib partner for Bob.

Dear Grace, I am so sorry for your loss. I only heard of Bob’s passing when I spoke to Evelyn a few days ago. My thoughts are with you and your family. Find strength in your wonderful memories of this special man. I will think of him every Christmas when I put up the lovely wooden reindeer ornaments he made. May he Rest In Peace.

So sorry to read of the passing of Bob. Please accept my sympathies. I will always have a special place for Bob as I vividly remember the day he shot me in the hand with an air nailer on a house renovation in Pleasantville and all the bent nails in my nail bag after he cleaned up. Reading of his passing was a shock. I always enjoyed my time working with him and Ron and the crew. How fast the years go by. My condolences for your loss.
