Obituary for Timothy David Marriott

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Timothy Marriott, 29, of Sackville, NS, on March 5, 2019. Tim grew up in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, the son of Barry and Belinda (Dalrymple) Marriott, and attended Sir John A. MacDonald High School in Five Islands. He will be remembered lovingly by his family and many friends for his contagious smile and caring heart. Tim never complained and filled our lives with laughter. A unique sense of humor was a trademark he shared with his Dad. His special gift to all was his time; never asking for help but always ready when help was needed. He enjoyed spending time helping his Dad with his endless projects and working with his Mom in her gardens. We mourn that Tim left this world too early but feel so blessed to have had this amazing young man in our lives. Tim loved children and animals. He was the Master Egg Hider for the annual Easter Egg Hunt held for his nieces, nephews and neighbourhood children. Family was his world and he was lovingly known as Uncle TT to his many nieces and nephews. Their faces beamed with joy whenever he was around. Timmy was proud to be called his mother’s “rock”, always at ready call whenever she needed help with anything or a shoulder to lean on. Tim was a Foreman with Dexter Construction, where he worked for over ten years and was highly regarded and admired by his fellow workers. He loved to spend time gaming with his cousins and best friends, Marc and Rylan Marriott. He doted on his beloved dog, Diesel, his prized possession. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Allan (Lianne), Scotland; Clayton (Amber Dearman), Chester; Jonathan (Brandace Hodder), Hubbards; sisters, Serena (Al) Lancaster, Australia; Stacey Anne, Chester; paternal grandmother, Mary Marriott, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay; maternal grandparents, David and Catherine (Boutilier) Rose, Tantallon; Amy Sturgeon, mother of his unborn daughter, Anastasia; nieces and nephews Justice, Faith, Gregory, Noah, Alex, Myles and Alexander, many aunts and uncles. Pre-deceased by paternal grandfather, James Marriott. Timothy will be cremated and visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Upper Tantallon, with Eulogies given at 3 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at his parent’s home in Hd. St. Margaret’s Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the S.P.C.A. or CMHA-NS, the Canadian Mental Health Association, NS Division. Online condolences can be made at www.rawalker.ca
