Obituary for Tina Marie Thorne

It is with great sadness that the family of Tina Marie Thorne announce her passing after a long-fought battle with cancer on March 28, 2021 at the young age of 55 surrounded by her family.

Tina will be forever remembered by her husband Simon Thorne of 34 years and two beautiful children Samantha Torne and Trevor Thorne (Nicky), and her beloved little dog Lacy, Tinas mother Eileen Hudson, Sisters Terri Scarfe (Tim) Flo Sampson (Roger) her beloved nieces and nephews Lindsay Boutilier (Cory), Jacob Sampson (Ruqaiyah) Caleb Baker, Connor, and Keenan Creelman, Taila and Avaya Thorne and her newest pride and joy Beau Boutilier. Tina was preceded by her father Pat Creelman.

Tina was a kind devoted person who dedicated many years to Young Street Superstore. She loved her job, her coworkers and most of all the customers.

Tinas biggest devotion was her family, when you mention her children and husband her face would always light up with pride, her family was everything to her. Tina always had an open-door policy to anyone. To the younger ones in her family always thought of Tinas house as a place to go and do whatever they want, eat whatever they want and always leave with a bag full of goodies.

There is an old saying “She would give you the shirt right off her back” This would be the best way to describe her. Anyone who has ever met her would know she had the biggest heart of them all.
Tina came into this world a fighter and she left this world a fighter. Her legacy will go on through her children and her family. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; LOVE leaves a memory no on can steal.”

An open graveside ceremony will be held 2:00 pm Saturday April 3rd at Oakridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1078 Old Sackville Road Middle Sackville. A small drop in celebration of life will be held at One Last Rep from 3:00 until 5:00 21 McCurdy Ave, Dartmouth. Due to Covid 19 restriction social distancing will be practiced and masks are required.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Homecare, VON, Palliative care and all those who helped her along the way.
