Obituary for Janet Flora Harnish

Janet Flora Harnish
73, of Fox Point passed away on Wednesday November 15, 2017 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Percy and Doris Shatford. Janet worked in the fishing industry for many years at Gates and Karlson’s Fish Plants in Blandford and most recently worked as Bar Manager at the Hubbards Lions Club. She loved to spend time on the beach with her family, touring the roads with Judy Rose and puzzling at Ronnie and Glady’s.
Survived by her son, John Creighton (Annette) Port Huron, Michigan; daughter, Cathy Darlene (Brent) Haase, Chester; brothers, Ronnie (Gladys) Shatford; Floyd (Elaine) Shatford, both of Fox Point; sisters, Judy (Peter) Hannam; Joan (Roger) Kaizer, both of Simms Settlement; grandchildren, Lee, Raylene, Justine, Jonathan and Marcus. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, November 18th in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Hubbards. Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hubbards Area Lions Club and/or South Shore Regional Hospital. Online condolences can be made to www.rawalker.ca
