84, of Hammonds Plains passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at home. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Humphrey) Hunter. Joyce loved spending time and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Survived by her sons, Tim (Dolein), and John, Both of Hammonds Plains; daughter, Christine (Paul) Bellefountaine, Rawdon; sisters, Sheila Hunter, Lower Sackville; Ruth Haverstock, Hammonds Plains; grandchildren, Shawna (Michael), Tim Jr (Lisa); great grandchildren, Naleah, Phoenix, Makenzie, Sam; sister-in-law, Ellen; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Christopher, brothers, Ronald and Thomas; sisters, Judy, Jean and Dorothy. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 in First Baptist Church, Hammonds Plains. Rev. Shant Manuel officiating. The family would like to make a special thank you to the VON, especially to Debbie and Natasha and all the people from Closing the Gap for the care and compassion that you gave to mom over the past few months.
